Ishbel's poem

Ishbel wrote this poem at school.

I don't want an outside cat!

I don't want an outside cat
A nitty gritty slabby tabby cat

I don't want an outside cat
A cat that hides in the bushes

I don't want an outside cat
A fighting with other outside cat

I don't want an outside cat
A crying at the door for breakfast cat

I don't want an outside cat
A hiding under cars when it rains cat

I want an inside cat
A furry purry Bermilla inside cat.

She may have a point - Abigail and I are waiting to go up to the vet this morning. Jamie and I took her up on Saturday morning with a nasty, suppurating wound on her cheek which she has got in a fight with another cat/possum. She was given an antibiotic injection and a painkilling injection and this morning the vet will decide whether she needs an operation to open the wound to be drained.

What a great poem Ishbel, and a great drawing too.

What a naughty Abigail to get into a fight. I hope she gets better soon.

Took the cat to the vet on Monday morning but had to bring her home again and I'll have to take her back tomorrow (Wednesday).
She wasn't supposed to eat after midnight on Sunday so when I went to bed I put her biscuits away and just left water. When I went to take her to the vet I found someone had put biscuits in her dish.

How come? I usually have to tell someone to feed the cat!!!!

No one is owning up and it's cost us an extra $50 in consultation fees.

Abigail back at the vet this morning. That extra couple of days with the antibiotics on board has done her some good and she wasn't kept in for surgery today (Wed). Phew!
Have to go back on Sunday for a check up.
